May is Pet Cancer Awareness Month. Getting the news that
your loved one has cancer is never easy, but, unfortunately, we live in a World
full of pollution and it’s becoming more and more common. Below are some
helpful cancer-fighting supplements you can give to your pet to help fight off
those awful cells!
Diggin Turkey Tail - We all know mushrooms are powerful at
boosting the immune system. Turkey tail supports and promotes a healthy immune
and cell function, which is important for a pup who has cancer. Turkey Tail is
powerful in shrinking tumor growth. It also tackles many other important areas
like inflammation, frequent infections (UTIs, respiratory, etc.), food
allergies, autoimmune disorders, heart and skin disorders, and much more.
CBD - I can’t say enough about CBD. All my dogs get CBD daily.
Even if your dog doesn’t have any health problems, the benefits of CBD are
amazing. There is solid evidence that cannabinoids can reduce tumor growth. CBD
can also help with inflammation and pain. If your pet has any anxiety/nerves,
CBD can help keep your pup calm as well.
Carb Restrictions - Remember: A low or no-carb diet starves
cancer cells. It’s important that your dog isn’t eating anything to keep those
cells from thriving. A raw diet is always going to be the best option for a dog
with cancer, as it has no carbs and provides everything your dog needs to
thrive. If a raw diet is not an option, that’s okay! There are many other diets.
For example, a lightly cooked diet, freeze-dried, or air-dried diets are all
great choices. You just want to stay away from carbs as much as possible!
Omegas are important in a diet as well. Some great options for omegas are
Coconut oil, Hemp Oil, and Fish Oil.
Spirulina - Spirulina is a big-time cancer fighter, as it
helps support a strong immune system. Spirulina has powerful antioxidants which
work synergistically in different sites in your pet's body. Spirugreen, the
brand we carry, is one of the World's most powerful fat-soluble antioxidant
carotenoids.
Fruits & Vegetables - Did you know blueberries,
broccoli, and apples are all amazing treats you can feed your pup? They are cancer-fighting superfoods! You can throw them in your pet’s diet or just give them as
daily treats.
What’s the most important thing you can do for your pet?
Love them. That is all they want from you - just for you to love them through
it all. After all, they love us no matter what, right? It’s the least we can do
for them.
