The most abundant medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA) found in coconut oil is lauric acid, which is considered responsible for many of coconut oil’s health benefits. Are all dehydrated coconut chips the same? No.
CocoTherapy coconut chips are not the same as the shredded dehydrated coconut found in the baking aisle in the supermarket. The shredded dehydrated coconut in the supermarket aisle is not from organic fresh coconut meat and often times, it is dried in kilns or heat and can contain preservatives, chemicals, or sugar. Do not feed dehydrated coconut found in the baking aisle to your pet!
